A Carbon Neutral Event

MWC25 Barcelona will be a Carbon Neutral event by offsetting 100% of its emissions with reduction and absorption projects and compliance with internationally recognized standards (VCS-VERRA, Gold Standard, ACR, among others). The neutrality will be verified by the ISO 14068-1 neutrality standard, respecting the principle of the hierarchy of emission reduction, emission abatement and offsetting (in previous years, the event's neutrality has been verified by the international standard PAS 2060). Access Policy

To ensure an exclusive and efficient experience for our VIP attendees, exhibitors can request complimentary car stickers until Monday, February 24, 2025. The number of stickers allocated to each exhibitor will be determined based on their show floor space and may be subject to limitations due to the capacity of the VIP Car Drop-off Point. Car stickers are intended for use by vehicles transporting VIP attendees who require a high level of service. We kindly request that exhibitors use these stickers responsibly to maintain the exclusivity of this area and enhance the overall VIP experience.

Consider more environmentally friendly options for transportation in planning your participation

  • Use public transportation to reach the venue with the MWC Free public transport pass. Share your car or taxi with other members of your company.
  • Consider using airlines with offset programs.
  • Book a non-stop flight to get to Barcelona.

Non-stop flights are exponentially better for the environment because as much as 50% of carbon emissions come from take-off and landing. It is worth the extra money to book direct flights!

Unleash the Power of Giving. Join the Donation Room Initiative!

The Donation Room initiative is back again for MWC25! The Donation Room offers exhibitors a unique opportunity to
give unused furniture and equipment a second life. By participating, you help reduce the event's environmental
footprint, minimize unnecessary waste, and actively support the Circular Economy – key pillars of our Environmental
Programme.

How Does It Work?

The process is simple, and your contributions make a meaningful impact.

Please register your interest in the Donation Room form in the Forms Section. Once registered, you will receive an email with the next steps, including a template for item donation details.

Fill in the template sent to you via email with a detailed list of items you wish to donate and send it to mwc25donationroom@gsma.com.

Bring your items to the designated collection points on the scheduled collection days. Drop-off locations will be clearly marked. Please refer to the venue map for collection point details. 

Build-up Donations
  • 28 February: 8AM - 9PM
  • 1 March: 8AM - 9PM
Dismantling Donations
  • 6 March: 4PM - 9PM
  • 7 March: 8AM - 9PM.

Your generous donations will contribute to the sustainable development of the city, making a positive impact on the community. 

The donated items will directly support social and cultural projects endorsed by both the Barcelona City Council and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat City Council.
