Use of music & audiovisual content at the event
GSMA has an agreement with SGAE, AIE, and AGEDI, covering the use of intellectual property managed by these entities during the Event. As a result, exhibitors playing pre-recorded background music or showing music videos in a secondary or accessory manner do not need to apply for public performance licenses.
What’s not covered
The agreement does not cover:
- Live performances
- Dance events
- Parties
If you plan to host any of these, or are unsure if a license is required, please contact SGAE, AIE, or AGEDI directly.
Film screenings
If you plan to show films, you must obtain authorisation from:
- EGEDA – for public performance rights of audio-visual producers
- AISGE – for rights of actors and actresses
